Sustainable entrepreneurship
At the Appelhof we are completely CO2 neutral with 70 solar panels and a battery pack.
We do not have a gas connection and we also have additional charging stations for electric boats.
The waste is collected separately and we ensure/think about water reduction.
We ask our guests to also contribute to this.
Blue flag
Our marina will be completely renovated and automated in 2023. Recycled and sustainable materials have been used for, among other things, the subsurface and embankment. We are therefore proud to announce that “De Appelhof” has achieved the Blue Flag: an international environmental brand for marinas.
Green key
Green Key is the largest international sustainability quality mark for the hospitality sector
Green Key promotes sustainability in the hospitality sector and reduces environmental impact. Companies with the Green Key quality mark meet 12 strict standards within sustainability themes, without guests having to compromise on comfort and quality. This goes further than normal legislation and regulations require. We are proud to announce that the Appelhof obtained the Greenkey certificate and therefore the green key in 2024.
